The Lady In Red Fashion Show has been a staple platform for emerging and established fashion designers for over 20 years. Founded in 2003 by Asya Idarous Khamsin, the show has become an inclusive event that showcases local and native designs for men and women. It has been celebrated for its empowering runway series that highlights models and designers. The event has now been passed on to Hugo Domingo Limited, a reputable Set Design and Decor Events company in Dar Es Salaam.
Last year, the Lady In Red Fashion Show was organized by Hugo Domingo and was a resounding success, with an impressive line-up of creative designers and activities such as live DJ sets and performances. This year, the fashion show promised to be even bigger and better, with more opportunities for local businesses and designers.
A pre-activation event was held in partnership with Neeko foods, showcasing local food and fashion vendors, upcoming DJs, and live performances. The event was a great initiative, adding more excitement to the legendary fashion event that took place on 11th February at Warehouse in Masaki.
